For nearly 35 years the Foundation has carried on the trust imparted to it by its namesake, Mrs. Edyth Bush, a woman who dedicated her life to promoting philanthropy throughout the community.

Edyth Bush (Mrs. Archibald G. Bush) was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Sarah and Eugene Bassler. She became a successful ballet dancer, actress, musician, composer and playwright.
